FAQ

  • Do the vendors accept EBT for payments?

Yes! You can swipe your EBT benefits card (also known as food stamps) at the market tent, where the market manager will exchange your benefits for $1 tokens that can be used for purchasing items allowed under EBT requirements: non-prepared, non-heated foods.

  • Can I sell my products at the market?

Under the “vendors” menu, click on “Become a Vendor.” You’ll find all the information you need to know about eligibility and how to apply.

  • Where do I park?

We have free parking available in the Recreation Park main lot, off of Beethoven Street. Parking is also available on the streets surrounding the park. Please be sure to keep the fire lane clear and avoid blocking the driveway’s of our neighbors!

  • Do vendors accept venmo, credit cards, etc.?

Each tent is run by an independent business, so payment methods vary. Cash is best, but some vendors do accept Venmo, tap-to-pay, credit cards and nutrition program tokens (like SNAP, VeggieRX, FMNP, etc.).

  • Is the market dog friendly?

We are pet-friendly, however, dogs must be leashed and are not allowed within 10-feet of a market booth. Please help us keep Rec Park clean by picking up after your pets!

  • Are there restrooms?

Restrooms are available in the pool building behind the carousel, a short walk up from the market area.

  • Is the market wheelchair accessible?

Yes! The market is organized around the park pathway that extends from Beethoven Street up to the Rec Park carousel. There is a flat, paved pathway connecting the parking lot to the market area. Please be advised that the vendor booths are arranged on the grass.

  • How can I get involved?

Stop by the market booth and say hello! Also, be sure to join our mailing list!

  • Can I support the market?

BFM is a community-run, non-profit organization. We are funded almost entirely by grants, sponsorships and donations. Support of all sizes helps the market to grow. Please click here to donate online. THANK YOU!
